Every other page on this site describes something designed and written down. This page says what has happened, what has not, and what comes next, so you can weigh it before anyone asks you for anything.
What is designed, and what has been done, kept apart.
A site can describe an instrument in full before the instrument has done a day's work. This one does. This page is where the two are kept apart, so you are never left guessing which is which.
Even Steven has recorded no capture session yet. The instrument, the record it writes, and the checks that admit or refuse it are designed and specified, and that design is what this site sets out. Everything stated anywhere on this site is a specification or an argument. None of it is a measurement.
Read the rest of this site with that in mind. Where a page says what a session carries, it describes the record as designed. Where a page says what the count shows, it describes a count that has not been started. The pages are written that way on purpose, and this one is the plain account that stands beside them.
One more thing has not happened. No AI has learned from anybody here, because there is no record for it to learn from. If what you have read about AI is that it takes what people know without asking, this page is where you check what has been taken here. Nothing, from nobody. When the first record is made it will be made with a yes, and the person it belongs to will be asked, paid every hour it runs, and able to end it. You own your skill. Always. Forever. Nothing on this page, and nothing on the list of what comes next, changes that.

The agreements
They are being drafted. The points they are built around are on these pages, and when they are settled they go up here in plain words. Nobody signs anything before then.
The price
The rate the agreement is being built around is on this site now: five dollars per machine-hour is the most a customer pays, and half of it reaches the person whose way of working it is. It is counted from the record that shows who authorized the work, hour by hour in use, and kept in sessions. The covenant carries it in full. Nothing is signed yet and no money has moved.
Who has been asked
Nobody outside the family's crews. It is being worked out on the people at home first, so the awkward questions are found by us and not by you.
The repository and the record are designed and written down, and Even Steven has put nothing through either yet.

What a session carries is set out on its own page: the person in the seat, by name, what their hands did, what the machine did back, and what they were looking at when they acted, timed against one clock and held inside one signed chain, with a photograph of the disconnected state carried inside it where it cannot be swapped out. The checks that admit or refuse a session are written as a procedure, with every reason named. When your record is made, what is made of your skill is ours, for you, and the skill itself is never bought.
All of that is specification. The first session to be run through it has not been recorded, and the first admitted or refused result will be the family's, on a machine at home.

The first names in it will be the family's own, after the recordings, the checks and a release that a named person signs, and nobody outside the crews at home is listed before the agreements are finished and on this site.

These are the three things a page like this is tempted to say early. None of them is said here until it is true, because you have heard every one of them said early somewhere else.
How well it works.
Until a session has been recorded and admitted, a way of working built from it and released, and that way of working run on a job with a person on the crew clearing it, no page here says whether it works well, badly or at all. A sentence about that would be a measurement, and there is none.
Who has taken part.
Nobody outside the family's crews has been asked to take part. So no page names an operator, an owner or a crew as one who has, and none quotes one. When that changes it is written here, in the site's own words, as a fact and not as a testimonial.
A listing that does not exist.
The repository page says what a listing carries. It shows none, because we have none to show, and no page will show you a sample, a name for illustration, or a family of machine with something under it. The first listing goes up under a real name, after a real recording, and not before.
If you hear that a way of working of ours is already licensed and running somewhere, this page is where you check, and today it says no.
Starting on the family's own people is not modesty.
The procedure that admits or refuses a record has to be run on somebody before it is run on anyone else, and the people it is run on first should be people who will tell us where it is wrong. The crews at home will. What is found here is fixed here, on machines the crews already know, before anybody outside is asked to take part.

The last of them was the split, and it is settled. One of them is what you leave behind: your skill and its pay outlast the days you are in the seat, and the licence, the money and the right to end it pass to your family for as long as the licence runs.

Every one of those is written against its counterpart on our side. The test each clause has to pass is whether it would still be acceptable if the two sides swapped places. The test is on its own page, and it does not change when the agreements are finished.

When the agreements are settled they go up on the covenant in plain words, under the points they were built around. The rate stays where it is, written once. Nobody signs anything before then.
The repository says what it holds.
The repository carries its own note on the state of it, and that note changes when the first way of working is listed under a name. The person whose name it is sees it in their own record on the same day.
If you asked to be told, you are told.
Say so when you write to us and you will be told when the terms are settled. Nothing else follows from writing, and nobody is put on a list.
